Largest of the 15 nations, Luthrain stands on the northwestern frontier of the continent. It shares borders with several of the southern nations in addition to Mildor in the east.

Luthrain is considered as the cradle of Man. The original creation of mankind was founded from the Elysee, spawning outwards among the other kingdoms. While all the other nations have their banners as creatures, Luthrain stands as Man itself. Luthrainians are typically 6 to 7 feet tall and they also have the ability to carry 5 to 10 times their own weight. Though other races may live in the outskirts of Luthrain's walls, they are looked down upon and often blamed when something goes wrong.

It is considered an aggressive expansionist kingdom, pressing several frontiers in the east. It has had a long standing conflict with Mildor, known as the War of Bears in The Lorrain Woodlands and other conflicts with the Treants of the Umblar Underwoods.

It is a absolute monarchy, ruled by Emperor Alumount and consists of several provinces administered by the magistrates. The capital is Delgada, the largest city in the known world. It's population far exceeds any of the other known kingdoms combined. It is also the owner of The Northern Wall which wards Luthrain of the Northern Blight

Magic[]

Unlike elves and dwarves, humankind has a considerable affinity towards magic allowing them to use it without suffering the influence of Orin. However, though they themselves remain unaffected, the environment still undergoes some of the side effect of Orin's influence. To the people of Luthrain magic is mostly utilitarian. Though they are not masters of the craft, they have found a way to utilize its power for the purpose of war. They favor a variety of enchantments, using runes as a medium. These runes can be found on structures and objects throughout the city. They are particularly prevalent on and in the castle.

Technology[]

Large mortars ad gunpowder. Luthrain also employs a certain kind of levitation pad it had appropriated from Mildor which was mass produced and used in the Elysee Palace.

Burial Rites[]

Near the Luthrainian border is a graveyard where Luthrain honors the dead with its massive gravestones. The candles are maintained by Rundar the Overseer. Candles do not go out on his watch and he does his job diligently lest the Emperor be less than please with the treatment of the dead. On the gravestone faces, carved skulls denote the number of Mildorians slain. Sometimes, Luthrain cremates their soldiers and one of the highest honors of the Luthrainian burial rites is a grand cremation by the Emperor's golden dragon form which transforms the body into a fine golden ash.
